Description
Product Description
The TPQR-SiC Terminal Power Quality Regulator is a silicon-carbide-based unit designed for the end of AC 380 V low-voltage feeders. It monitors three-phase voltage in real time and coordinates per-phase reactive-power regulation with three-phase active-power balancing to reduce line voltage differences. It is intended for distributed-generation feeders, long low-voltage lines, industrial feeder ends, and traffic-tunnel power systems affected by overvoltage, undervoltage, or three-phase unbalance.
How It Works
A DSP+CPLD digital control platform, T-type three-level topology, and PWM control respond to differences among the three-phase voltages. The regulator adjusts reactive power by phase and balances three-phase active power to regulate feeder-end voltage. Actual voltage adjustment depends on the selected rating and the capacity available for the application.
Key Features
- Output ratings – 35 kVA and 50 kVA options for AC 380 V systems.
- Operating modes – PVDG, VR, and combined PVDG+VR functions are selectable.
- Voltage unbalance – Post-compensation voltage unbalance is 5% or less.
- Voltage adjustment – The line-voltage adjustment range is at least 15% when sufficient capacity is available.
- Response and waveform – Total response time is below 100 ms, with output THDi of 3% or less.
- Modular operation – The modular design supports multi-module parallel operation.
Protection and Installation
Protection functions include overload, software and hardware overcurrent, grid overvoltage and undervoltage, grid voltage unbalance, power-supply fault, overtemperature, abnormal frequency, and short-circuit protection. The specified overload capability is 1.2 times rated output for 60 seconds.
- Enclosure and cooling – IP66 enclosure with natural air cooling.
- Mounting and cable entry – Clamp-type pole mounting with bottom cable entry.
- Operating environment – -10°C to +50°C, with derating above 40°C; installation below 2,000 m unless altitude derating is applied.
Applications
- Low-voltage distribution feeders with distributed photovoltaic or hydropower generation.
- Long low-voltage feeders and industrial networks affected by feeder-end voltage or three-phase unbalance.
- Traffic-tunnel power systems with low incoming voltage, long feeder distances, or frequently changing loads.
Configuration Guidance
Select the output rating, operating mode, grid structure, and communication interface according to feeder measurements and project requirements. Please contact GEYA to confirm the required communication interface and complete ordering configuration.
