Description
GYL9-AC-S Type AC-S Time-Delay RCCB
The GYL9-AC-S combines Type AC residual-current detection with the catalogue Type S operating-time bands. It is intended for sinusoidal AC residual currents. Use the complete timing table when evaluating coordination; the time-delay characteristic alone does not guarantee selectivity.
Residual-Current Detection
The Type AC characteristic is intended for sinusoidal AC residual currents. If connected equipment can produce pulsating DC or other residual-current components, select a residual-current type that matches those waveforms.
Type S Operating-Time Characteristic
The operating time changes with the applied residual current. The catalogue specifies separate Type S ranges at IΔn, 2IΔn, 5IΔn, 5–200 A and 500 A; use the complete table when assessing system coordination.
Ratings and Configuration
- Rated current – 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 80 and 100 A.
- Rated residual operating current – 30, 100 and 300 mA.
- Voltage and poles – 230/240 V or 400/415 V; 1P+N or 3P+N.
These values are catalogue options and do not establish that every combination is available. Confirm the complete ordering matrix for the required configuration.
Installation and Protection Boundary
- Installation – TH35-7.5 DIN-rail mounting, IP20, 2.5 N·m tightening torque and 1–35 mm² conductor capacity.
- Connection and indication – Dual-busbar wiring and residual-current fault indication.
- Service life – 10,000 mechanical and 4,000 electrical operations.
The GYL9-AC-S is an RCCB and does not provide overload or short-circuit protection. Select and coordinate suitable protective devices separately for the installation.
Reference Standards and Catalogue
The GYL9 catalogue lists IEC/EN 61008-1 and GB/T 16916.1 as reference standards. Review the GYL9 catalogue and confirm the complete ordering matrix with GEYA.
