Description

The GY-ASVG-SiC is a cutting-edge SiC-based Advanced Static Var Generator designed to deliver comprehensive power quality management. By integrating reactive power compensation, active harmonic filtering (2nd to 50th order), and three-phase unbalance correction into a single high-efficiency unit, it ensures optimal grid stability with a peak efficiency exceeding 98.5%.
Overview & Working Principle
Using Silicon Carbide (SiC) power devices as its core, the GY-ASVG-SiC connects a voltage source converter (VSC) to the power grid via a filter in parallel. Its working principle relies on detecting the load current in real-time. Based on advanced detection and control algorithms for reactive power, harmonics, and three-phase active power, it generates corresponding IGBT drive signals. This allows the device to achieve comprehensive compensation of reactive current, harmonic current, and three-phase unbalanced active power simultaneously.

GY-ASVG-SiC vs. GY-SVG-SiC: What is the Difference?
While the standard GY-SVG-SiC is an exceptional tool primarily focused on reactive power compensation and three-phase unbalance correction, the GY-ASVG-SiC (Advanced Static Var Generator) takes power quality a step further.
The ASVG model introduces powerful Active Harmonic Filtering capabilities. It can filter out current harmonics from the 2nd to the 50th order with a compensation rate of ≥95%, and allows for individual harmonic order adjustments. This makes the ASVG the great 3-in-1 solution (Reactive + Unbalance + Harmonics) for highly complex and polluted industrial power grids.
