Description
GY-AHF-PLUS High-spec Active Harmonic Filter – Overview
The GY-AHF-PLUS is a high-spec active harmonic filter for AC220V/380V systems, filtering 2nd–50th order harmonics with a ≥95% compensation rate and <40ms response. Upgraded from the standard GY-AHF, it adds neutral line zero-sequence current filtering up to 3 times the phase line current, Class A EMC performance (RE/CE) and resonance protection, making it well suited to data centers, commercial buildings and facilities with heavy single-phase nonlinear loads.
Working Principle
The GY-AHF-PLUS connects a voltage source converter (VSC) to the power grid in parallel via a filter. By detecting the load current in real time, it separates harmonic currents order by order based on a specified-order harmonic current detection algorithm. Control signals are generated according to the set filtering percentage, driving the IGBT power stage to output a compensation current with the same amplitude but opposite phase to the load harmonic current, cancelling harmonic distortion at the point of connection. The device additionally provides neutral line zero-sequence current filtering capability up to three times the phase line current, together with improved EMC performance and stability.
Key Features
- DSP+CPLD full digital control core with three-level topology, advanced harmonic detection algorithm and PWM control strategy.
- Modular design with multi-module parallel connection capability, small footprint and easy maintenance.
- Independent air duct and independent board compartment structural design ensure stable operation of the equipment.
- Supports 100% current-limiting output to ensure long-term stable operation.
- Selectable compensation modes: harmonic compensation only, or harmonic compensation + three-phase unbalance compensation.
- Current harmonic compensation rate ≥95%; 2nd–50th harmonics with individually adjustable compensation rate; unbalance degree after compensation ≤5%.
- Neutral line zero-sequence current filtering capacity is three times that of the phase line.
- EMC Radiated Emission (RE) and Conducted Emission (CE) tests meet Class A standard.
- 2 x RS485 communication ports with Wi-Fi support; forced air cooling for reliable thermal management.
GY-AHF-PLUS vs. Standard GY-AHF
Compared with the standard GY-AHF Active Harmonic Filter, the PLUS version focuses on 220V/380V applications with enhanced neutral line handling and electromagnetic compatibility:
| Item | GY-AHF (Standard) | GY-AHF-PLUS (High-spec) |
|---|---|---|
| Voltage Classes | AC220V/380V/500V/690V/800V | AC220V/380V |
| Module Ratings | 7A–200A | 100A / 150A |
| Neutral Line Filtering | — | 3× phase line current |
| Reactive Power Compensation | — | ≥99% |
| EMC Performance | Standard | RE/CE meet Class A |
| Resonance Protection | — | Included |
Both models share the same 2nd–50th order filtering range, ≥95% compensation rate, <40ms response time, ≥97% efficiency and unlimited parallel connection capability.
Reliable Protection & Overload Capability
The GY-AHF-PLUS integrates comprehensive protection functions, including overload, software/hardware overcurrent, grid overvoltage/undervoltage, grid voltage unbalance, power supply failure, overtemperature, frequency anomaly, short-circuit and resonance protection. The unit withstands 1.2 times rated overload for 60 seconds, and the overall efficiency reaches ≥97%.
Flexible Installation Options
Rack-mounted (rear cable entry) and wall-mounted (top cable entry) configurations are available with forced air cooling. The standard protection rating is IP20, with IP54 available on request. Suitable operating conditions include altitudes below 2000m (derating per GB/T 3859.2 above 2000m), ambient temperatures of -10°C to +50°C, and relative humidity ≤90% without condensation.
Typical Applications
-
- Data centers, hospitals and office buildings with heavy single-phase loads and high neutral currents
