Description

GEYA GPS8 17/18 Series Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is a high-performance dual power controller designed to guarantee power continuity for critical loads. Combining rapid switching capabilities with advanced digital protection, this device monitors voltage and current in real-time, automatically transferring the load to a backup power source (such as a generator, inverter, or secondary grid) when the main power fails or becomes unstable. Ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial applications, the GPS8 ensures your equipment remains safe and operational.

Advanced Power Monitoring and Protection

Unlike standard mechanical transfer switches, the GPS8-17 and GPS8-18 act as intelligent protection relays. They feature a built-in microprocessor that constantly analyzes the True RMS values of the power supply. If the voltage drops too low (Under-Voltage), spikes too high (Over-Voltage), or if the load draws too much power (Over-Current), the device instantly disconnects or switches sources to prevent damage to sensitive electronics and motors.

Flexible Operation Modes

Designed for various energy setups, the GPS8 offers customizable operational logic:

  • Priority Phase Setting: You can designate a specific power source (e.g., Grid Power) as the priority. When this source is restored, the switch automatically returns to it after a set delay.
  • Auto Mode: In this mode, the device simply selects the power source that is currently within the normal voltage range, ensuring maximum availability.
  • Manual Control: For maintenance or emergency situations, the load can be manually switched on or off using the front panel controls.

Precise Digital Control

The front panel features a clear LED digital display showing real-time voltage and current readings. Users can easily program parameters to suit specific site conditions, including:

  • Over/Under voltage operation and recovery values.
  • Action delays for faults (prevents nuisance tripping).
  • Power-up and Reset delay times (2s to 900s).
  • Switching time (0s to 900s) to accommodate generator warm-up periods.

Model Variations

The series includes two distinct configurations to match your wiring needs:

  • GPS8-17: Designed for Single Phase systems (L1-N1 vs L2-N2). Ideal for switching between two independent single-phase sources.
  • GPS8-18: Designed for 3-Phase systems (L1, L2, L3, N). Perfect for industrial 3-phase power management.
