Project Overview
For decades, the Maldivian industrial power market has been almost exclusively dominated by tourism and resort projects. However, recent global supply chain tensions have highlighted the critical need for local resilience, prompting a strategic national shift towards domestic manufacturing and the development of industrial zones like Thilafushi.
Seizing this emerging opportunity, our local GEYA agent successfully spearheaded a new avenue: factory automation power distribution. Last year, they completed the assembly and installation of the Maldives' very first factory assembly line control distribution cabinet. This milestone not only marks a significant breakthrough for GEYA in the local industrial control sector but also demonstrates our capability to power the Maldives' growing manufacturing landscape with reliable, scalable solutions.
How the System Works
This distribution cabinet is custom-engineered to handle the dynamic load characteristics of a modern factory assembly line, specifically managing frequent motor start/stop cycles and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) controls.
To ensure absolute safety and operational stability, the system integrates a comprehensive suite of GEYA low-voltage components. The main circuit utilizes our Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB) and rows of Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB) for high-capacity short-circuit, overload, and precise branch circuit protection. For the automated control of the assembly line, GEYA AC Contactors are paired with Thermal Overload Relays, safeguarding the machinery against overheating during continuous operation. Furthermore, a Dual Power Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) is incorporated to seamlessly switch to backup generators during grid fluctuations, ensuring uninterrupted production for island-based facilities.

Challenges Solved
- Complex System Integration: Moving beyond standard product sales, our agent demonstrated exceptional engineering capabilities. They independently refined the cabinet blueprints to perfectly align with the factory's specific motor and VFD load requirements.
- Autonomous Local Execution: From component selection and blueprint detailing to on-site wiring, installation, and final commissioning, the entire project was executed autonomously by the local team. This eliminated the need for overseas technical support and ensured rapid deployment.
- Unified Supply Chain Reliability: By utilizing a complete ecosystem of GEYA low-voltage components, the factory secured a highly compatible, unified power solution that minimizes operational risks and simplifies future maintenance.
Agent Messages
"Upon establishing our GEYA agency, we first underwent comprehensive product training and practical field internships at the company's manufacturing facility. Consequently, when we secured our very first factory project, we were able to communicate seamlessly with the client and tailor a meticulous power distribution solution specifically for their facility. We have benefited not only from the high-quality product support provided directly by GEYA but also from the invaluable assistance of their technical team and insights drawn from past project experiences. We look forward to continuing to promote GEYA's products and solutions to local industrial facilities in the future."
