Why Get An MCB?

To understand why you must know by it, we must learn what a miniature circuit breaker is. Circuit breakers are automatically operated electrical switches attached to your electrical system. Miniature circuit breakers prevent significant damage to an electrical circuit due to excess live current introduced commonly& typically caused by short circuits in electronics.

A short circuit can occur if or when the current finds a way to bypass the appliance on a path with little or no resistance. For example, when frayed insulation bares a wire. That allows it to touch the appliance’s frame, causing the current to flow straight to the ground and, on the other hand, overloading the situation where the current inside the wires reaches a certain level above the required amount.

That causes the hot wires to heat up and risks them melting, leading to a dangerous fire. We test our GEYA’s products well and quality insured to ensure that both these scenarios do not result in damage or any serious threat to the clients.

Once our product detects a short circuit or an overload, it cuts off the connection of the appliance from the source of the electricity. That way, the machine cannot access any power, resulting in zero chance of damage to the machine itself, a shock on touching the machine, fires, and more, limiting and eliminating any damage caused to the device.

Manufacturers designed most breakers to protect against both overloading and short-circuiting. These are differentiated using different processes. Overload protection is provided by the bimetallic strip, while the tripping coil offers short circuit protection via the electromagnetic operation.

That releases a switch that separates the electrical contact points to confine the electrical discharge. That is also known as an arc. The Arc is divided and cooled by an insulated metal strip called the arc chute. Medium voltage circuit breakers work as follows; the excess current causes the bimetallic strip within the circuit breaker to sense heat and bend, resulting in a trip. The stationary contact closes again once the professional fix the fault and reset the miniature circuit breakers. The heating of the strip only causes a trip when excess current is detected, meaning standard current has no effect, and the breaker only trips when there is excess heat.

Manufacturers designed the direct current miniature circuit breaker (DC MCB) for direct current (DC) control circuit applications, used for the same reasons as a typical circuit breaker, i.e., overcurrent protection within appliances or electrical equipment from excess electrical current.

The result is usually the severing of the connection of the appliance or, in other cases, the entire room from the power source. The tripped breaker can easily be re-armed again after a toggle/flip of a switch, manually. The direct current miniature circuit breaker provides optimization products for direct existing system applications such as photovoltaic systems (PV) and Energy storage systems (ESS).

Manufacturers commonly place them inside circuit breaker panel, also known as breaker box. These breaker panels can house many medium voltage circuit breakers, and clients can add new ones in the future. Users widely use standard circuit breakers as isolating components in domestic, commercial, and industrial settings.

That means that in a short circuit in your living room, you shall cut off the power to that specific room, and the rest of the house will not lose any power. They use a relatively robust mechanical mechanism to minimize failures and false alarms and comprise a broader family of more powerful circuit braking components.

Types Of Circuit Breakers

There are various popular types of circuit breakers. They all have the same essential basic function but differ slightly. Our brand manufacturers many of them to ensure the customer can receive all their electrical needs from our brand:

Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCB)

Professional assign these circuit breakers for smaller currents ranging from a hundred to a thousand amperes. They protect by combining a temperature-sensitive device with a current-sensitive electromagnet.

Insulated Case Circuit Breakers (ICCB)

This circuit breaker is the same as a molded case circuit breaker but now with an insulated frame. Molded case circuit breakers use an iron frame while these circuits remove the iron entirely and use plastic to provide insulation in low voltage situations.

Low Voltage Circuit Breakers (LVCB)

Professionals consider these circuit breakers the most used and versatile because they can withstand faults for up to 30 cycles (a window of 1/2 sec). Manufacturers equipped them to handle currents ranging from eight hundred to two thousand five hundred amperes. They are field maintainable and very reliable.

Medium-Voltage Circuit Breakers (MVCB)

These use the same components as the ones above; however, they have an added feature: they use vacuums bottles instead of contact assemblies and arc chutes.

A Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI Breakers)

GFIC breakers are specialized outlets with built-in breaks. Manufacturers designed this outlet to prevent shock if an electrical device comes in contact with water. Technicians usually construct this device near areas close to water, such as the pool or inside bathrooms.

Suppose the appliance is in use and its flow of electricity surges because the user comes in contact with water. In that case, the breaker inside the ground fault circuit interrupter will trip, automatically switching off the current. When interrupted circuits shut off the power that way, there’s a high probability that they have just saved your life or at least saved you from electrocution.

Each device forms its energy requirement, better known as rated current. Larger appliances require more current. In the case of the instruments which require more energy, it would be counterproductive to assign a lower voltage circuit breaker as they would repeatedly trip. For machines such as a space heater, the amperage required is relatively high; users must provide and manage higher current, which is why there are so many different types of circuit breakers.

They each have their own required set of permission and point where they can bear that such a variety of products is necessary to determine what current we have to permit and what better place to buy these products than from our trusted brand.

Types Of Breaker Contacts

There are three types of circuit breaker contacts: the user can see the Arc and primary contacts in the last two types of circuit breakers. Professionals also call airframe or draw-out circuit breakers since they rely on a connecting piece that jumps the current from one contact to another.

Arcing this transfers the Arc, or the heated, glowing electrical current, to the arc runners. Main; which carries the primary load current, and Auxiliary; which make and break the control circuits.

Arc Contacts

Manufacturers designed arcing contacts to prevent the primary contacts from being damaged. They made them from silver alloys, which make the arcing contacts harder, so when the contacts continuously open and close, they will not deteriorate as quickly.

Main Contacts

The primary contacts are straightforward, especially since manufacturers constructed a softer alloy with less tungsten or zinc and more silver. They carry the direct load current through the breaker, so they have a lower resistance to current flow. The mains are more extensive, which also helps in decreasing their resistance.

Auxiliary Contacts

Auxiliary contacts control electrical functions within the circuit breaker, such as turning the spring charging motor on and off at the appropriate times. On LVPCBs, the user mounts the auxiliary contacts on the frame of the breaker, typically seen as a large handle on the side that one physically flips up and down to cut or restore power.

Why Choose Our DC MCB?

Modular Design

Made of flame retardant, environmentally friendly, and safe materials which offer a flame retardant grade up to V1, our product is made of materials that provide proper insulation from any electrical harm. Where conductors can allow electricity to pass through, our product is perfectly insulated to prevent this from happening. Manufacturers made the modular design of our circuit breaker specifically to make it easier for the user to use it in various and innovative electrical systems.

That means they are compatible with many different systems and not specific to a single one. The design lets users insert the product into existing systems quickly and easily integrate and replace the previous breaker. It allows users to swap the product with other GEYA miniature circuit boards if a different version of our various boards is required.

It offers a completely customizable and easy to maintain product that is easy to install & works hand in hand with your system. So regardless of your type of electrical system, the circuit breaker contacts will provide you with safety and security in case of a short circuit and interrupt current flow to safeguard your machines and appliances.

Our design is straightforward and allows our clients to integrate them into their systems much faster than other similar products. That saves our clients precious time and resources. The product is flexible and intelligent enough to quickly join any system, meaning it offers more sustainability than other products and reduces waste.

You must replace equipment such as fuses once they fulfill their purpose; however, these products can easily stay in working condition for many years without any problems. Once it has activated, a fuse will blow up and break; being useless until replaced, it will end up interrupting a lot of important work. That is not the case with our product. The design choice also allows users to disassemble them in the event of a faulty unit easily. The circuit breaker can also be upgraded or changed according to the user’s needs almost seamlessly.

That is much harder to achieve for other products. Simple, practical, and straightforward, our circuit breaker reduces the complexity of average electrical systems by providing an elegant design that is easy to assemble, disassemble and maintain.

ln Compliance With IEC/EN606947-2

The IEC 606947-2:2016 is an international standard that applies to all circuit breakers in which professionals propose the primary contacts to connect them to circuits. The rated voltage should not exceed a thousand volts alternate current or one thousand five hundred volts’ direct current. This international standard also contains additional requirements for integrally fused circuit-breakers.

The standard has gone through multiple changes and revisions over the years, with the fifth and latest edition canceling and replacing the fourth edition published in 2006. This newest edition constitutes a technical revision and also includes the following significant additions as tests for verification of selectivity in Annex A, critical load current tests for direct current circuit-breakers, new Annex P for circuit breakers for use in photovoltaic applications, and a new Annex R for residual current circuit breakers with automatic reclosing functions.

We label our products in full compliance with this standard in addition to their specific criteria. Our products have won many national invention patents. According to national and international industry standards and certification requirements, the company products satisfy the needs and go well beyond the industry standards.

The same products have also obtained EU authoritative certificates, including CCC, CE, SAA, SEMKO, TUV, EN, and fully comply with European and American quality standards, showing our commitment to providing quality goods and products which fulfill all the requirements required. We have spared no expense in giving worthy goods for our customers to get the best on the market.

Usable With Solar Batteries

A solar battery is a battery that stores energy generated from a solar PV system. The system’s panels absorb energy from the sun and convert it to electricity. The user may or may not add a solar battery, allowing the user to store energy produced from the solar panel and use the power later. The energy generation via a solar panel is direct current.

The energy from the sun stimulates the flow of electrons in a specific direction, which is why it is a direct current. An inverter is stalled to covert this direct current to an alternate current so that you may use it in the house to power appliances and rooms such as the kitchen, basement, garage, and bathroom.

Before installing the inverter, you must install a direct current miniature circuit breaker to protect the solar panels from a high surge current. Under our brand, the direct current circuit breaker offers the ultimate protection to your solar batteries and panels.

Typical circuit breakers are ineffective in solar-related energy systems based on alternating currents. However, manufacturers specifically made our direct current circuit breaker so you can use it in solar energy systems. That is to give your solar panels, solar battery, inverter, and household devices the proper protection they need. Our products do that by preventing overloads which can hurt, injure and cause other damage to the components connected in your system, which shows our commitment to our products and your orders.

For All Types Of Use

Our products are industrial grade in quality and simple enough to be used in household affairs; however, this does not mean that our products should be limited to just home use. GEYA products are perfect for commercial usage and operate under the same conditions. Whether in a house, a factory, or a server room, our products fully protect all your devices plugged into the wall by shutting them down when any excess current is detected. Our product protects your equipment once any excess current is detected.

Our circuit breaker can quickly reverse any trips in speed, and all products work well under pressure. They are well suited for any & all departments& divisions, opening a realm of possibilities.
