Voltage monitoring relay working principle
Voltage monitoring relays are designed for either sin3 phase display voltage monitoring relay single-phase or three-phase systems.
When the voltage drops below the maximum voltage setting including a hysteresis value (known as the dropout voltage), the relay is again de-energized and the contact closes, restoring power to the load.
Relays are used in motor-driven applications to measure and monitor operating parameters such as temperature, current, or voltage, preventing damage to the motor and connected equipment in the case of a fault or abnormal operating condition. Voltage monitoring relays can detect not only under-voltages and over-voltages, but also voltage-related issues such as phase imbalances, phase loss, and phase sequence.
Working Principle of Three Phase Sequence Monitoring Relay
Selection of a three-phase power source for giving out, when the phase classification of the power source matches the phase classification of the input of the phase classification monitoring relay, the output of the relay is twisted on, and the key control circuit of the device is twisted on.
When the phase classification of the power source changes, the phase classification does not look the same, and the output of the phase classification monitoring relay cannot be twisted on, thus defending the device then circumventing accidents. The additional category of phase monitoring relay uses alphanumeric micro-core technology products, which can realize automatic phase identification, classification, and automatic phase classification alteration to safeguard that the motor interchanges in a constant phase classification.
The three-phase power source is linked to the U, V, W (some are R, S, T, or L1, L2, L3) of the monitoring relay in classification. The phase classification monitoring relay mostly has one usually open and one usually shut auxiliary contact. For the linking to the control loop, the precise linking of usually open or usually shut contacts should be grounded on the control code or wiring map. When the phase sequence is wrong or the phase is losing, the supplementary connection of the relay acts from usually open to usually shut, and usually shut to usually open.
Reliable of 3 phase voltage monitoring relay
The constant and dependable monitoring of three-phase networks guarantees the trouble-free and cost-effective operation of machines and setting up. GEYA’s GRV8-SP three-phase monitoring relays for rated voltage levels up to 650 V AC and 65 Hz offer maximum flexibility and control.
